The Byre
Our smallest and cosiest cottage with all the comforts and conveniences of home.
Located on the ground floor at the east of the longhouse it is ideal for those with slight mobility difficulties.
It was, as its name suggests, previously used to house cattle on our family farm.
The main area contains a fully fitted modern yet traditional style kitchen; dining area and comfortable living area with electric wood effect stove. There is a lovely feature bay window area with oak beam and stone reveals.
The master bedroom with an enormous, sunny window seat (ideal for a spot of reading); can either be configured as a twin with 2 single beds or zipped together to form a super king size.
A cosy second bedroom contains a comfortable double bed.
There is a family shower room has a recently discovered; bricked up medieval doorway. There is an additional separate toilet and basin.
In each bedroom you will find comfortable beds, high quality bedding and designer textiles, hypoallergenic pillows and duvets for a great night’s sleep.
All of the fabrics and furnishings have been very thoughtfully and carefully chosen to reflect the heritage and historic nature of the cottage, right down to the use of Farrow and Ball paint both inside and out.
We are happy to accept up to 2 well behaved dogs, but do ask that they are never left alone in the property or allowed on the furniture.
